Welcome back everyone! First, I want to express my sincere gratitude for making it this far in revisiting FantasyGolfBag.com. Over the past 2 years, I thought things would go in a different direction, but fortunately it left me rethinking what I want to accomplish in DFS, both as a player and also as a content personality and data scientist.
Since starting FGB in 2018, things were going at a phenomenal pace until COVID and unfortunately that ultimately sent Axis, Sky and myself to FTN, leaving behind a loyal fan base, and more importantly many friends who had supported us. I could go down this path for a while expressing the good and bad in that decision, but here we are in 2025 and I have some big aspirations for Fantasy Golf Bag.
Since getting more into the weeds of golf data with Sky and Axis, I have been drawn to providing more analysis and insights for DFS and Betting purposes. My vow to you, as a new or returning FGB Subscriber, is to be on the forefront of golf data, analysis and tools. As you browse the website, you will see several new tools already up and I promise this is the tip of the iceberg. There are many items on my short list to get up ASAP, from player sims, dfs sims, optimizer, and custom projections generator. These are all near term projects and my goal is to pump out AT LEAST 2 of these per month.
What will set Fantasy Golf Bag apart from the rest?
There is no shortage of tools and data, some free and some behind a paywall, and I will be upfront in all of my content if there is necessity or usefulness from these tools. Of course, I still use datagolf to sanity check things, easily compare odds and matchups, and spot check my own work. DataGolf is a fantastic resource. My aim with Fantasy Golf Bag is to streamline your DFS and Betting process. I want each and every one of you to be able to start your process with us, work through your research about the upcoming course, browse the course history and recent form, and ultimately build your player pool and lineups.
As you will see throughout the site, almost everything is interconnected, whereas in each tool you can favorite your players and these carry over to all other tools. From there we will be able to sim matchups, entire tournaments, dfs lineups, or simply optimize for your set to be uploaded to DraftKings or Fanduel.
Additionally, I am at your service. Many of these tools and ideas have come from DFS players and bettors just like you, wanting to know more about a player or course, so they request these enhancements or suggest ideas they think might hold value. I am your personal developer, and if you have an idea or want to see something in a whole new light, Fantasy Golf Bag will offer that for you.
Remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg for Fantasy Golf Bag and I hope you join us for a fun and profitable ride! You can always find me in the Discord, and in fact I have even given my cell phone number to many members so we can have in-depth discussions in text or on a call.
My advice to get started?
First thing I would encourage you to do is check out the new Course Preview Pro tool. This has been my own personal project to provide more concise data analysis for the upcoming course. This data MATTERS, and I tried my best to make it as easy to understand as possible. Like I said, I want this to be a streamlined process for you, and I don't want you randomly clicking buttons and getting lost. I will of course give you the freedom to look up any data you wish, but I also think it is my job to help Fantasy Golf Bag subscribers easily navigate the tools and not waste time.
After this, you can move into any number of tools, from the Form Matrix, Player Rolling Stats, or straight into the StatModels. Spectrum is on it's way also, so stay tuned!
In short, I guarantee you will be pleased with your decision to return to FGB or sign up for the first time. 2025 is going to be a great year of golf and FGB is going to be your go-to for all items pertaining to PGA DFS Research!
