Redkacheek's Playbook: 2025 the Memorial Tournament
Alright..we are back. Going to keep this a little concise, I know most just scroll to the bottom and check out the core plays, so won't dig into too much with the course. I highlighted it pretty well in the Podcast and ComboIQ video again. The biggest focus was rDA% for the key driving bucket of 290-310. This course seems like it would suit "bombers", and while many have had success here, at least longer than average, that is also the best players in the world here every year. I am most focused on finding players driving it well, specifically hitting more fairways than the field over the past 8-12 events. One name that popped up, although his approach is still lagging, was Aberg. I think this is a great track for Aberg to make some noise and get back into form prior to Oakmont.
Other than that, the approach distributions were really spread out. Not much to really dive into there. We obviously want guys gaining strokes with Approach, ideally in all approach buckets. Pretty simple really. I will be using some spectrum edge numbers a bit more this week in the hopes of finding some leverage in a limited field. We will get to those.
Weather Outlook
Weather looks really good on Thursday. Friday is a little questionable. Shows wind picking up after 1 and even stronger late afternoon. Last tee time is 2PM on Friday and First one is 7:50. So it is possible they do split tees to avoid this but I think it is unlikely. I don't think it's a huge deal for these later tee times on Friday, but definitely in Showdown we would want to avoid those groups. You can see tee times below for those players going off late, and it will also be in the Showdown projections page.
